Beaver Fun Day 2nd May 2009
Akela, Shere Khan, Woody,Buzz, Lynn and Kirsty along with the Scouts held a Fun
Day for Our Beaver Colony and also Deganwy Beavers.
21 Beavers attended and had a Fantastic time.
The Beavers were split into groups - Alaw, Brenig, Crafnant, Celyn, Geirionydd and Tegid.
Once we had our introductions and broke the flag it was off to the first activitiy.
Tent Pitching - Each Group was assigned a leader and two Scouts and the task
was to pitch the Scouts tents......
Lunches - Each group then had the task of making their own lunches(healthy eating)..
Sandwiches and fruit kebabs were the on the menu and the Beavers had great fun making them,
Once they had been made and eaten it was onto making mini pizzas,
which were cooked and enjoyed after some games.
More fun and games were had during the course of the day, and the final activitiy was grass sledge racing.
Everyone had a go, including the Beaver leaders, even though they didn't get very far - Shere Khan got roped into
pulling the sledges and ended up at the finish line WITHOUT a Beaver!!!!!!
Finally all 12 Beavers from our Colony and one From Deganwy took their promise!!!!
A big thanks to all leaders, Helpers and Scouts for all their support to land today -
It was so successful we are looking forward to another fun day next year!!!!! |
