Latest NewsCubs Visit Chester Zoo.. (July 03, 2010)
Today the pack visited Chester Zoo.
The weather was brilliant and the animals exciting to see.
It was also Rachels birthday , on the bus we all sang her happy birthday and in the Zoo , next to the Elephants, she was invested into the pack - with an onlooking Elephant.
I have included some comments from the Cubs in this news event:
"What a great day out! Thanks to all the adults for their help, the Cubs (plus a
few of the Scouts)for behaving and the weather for being absolutely fabulous.
The bathouse was so good our group went round twice - apologies for shrieking
when one came flying straight at me in the tunnel. The Orangutans were funny -
when the baby whilst dangling from the roof by his toes dropped his apple 100
ft to the floor and spent ages trying different ways to hook it back up and
then his mum coming to snatch him to safety when he looked like he was going to
Tarzan down the rope to fetch it.
There was so much to see I feel I need another visit to catch what I missed".
