Latest NewsSporty Scout Sucess in Conwy (June 28, 2010)
The evening , though rainy (first rain in weeks) , gave us a very sucessful sporting event..
The annual Aberconwy Sports , held in the fields of Ysgol Porth - y - Felin , Conwy and run by the Conwy Group started at 6:30pm with the obsticle race.
The order of play was . obstacle, Sprint , Sack , three legged and egg and spoon and the grand finale the famous Welly Wanging competition.
Sucess was very fruitful this year as the Scouts ended up Joint Winners of the shield along with Conwy.

Bryony (bouncing) winner in the sack race
Bryony/Elin , 3 legged winners
Becky/Dominic , 3 legged runners up
Mckenzie/Luke , 3rd in 3 legged
Summer/Livy , 3 legged runners up
two winners in the egg and spoon - Bryony and Mckenzie
two seconds in the egg and spoon - Elin and George
Sprint winner for Beavers - Summer
and finally the welly wanging -
Liam 2nd , Bryony 3rd and Henry 3rd.
A big well done to all those who entered the parents and leaders who ignored the changing weather to cheer on the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and and a thanks goes to Conwy who yet again organised this years event..
