Latest NewsConwy Lift Cub Football Shield. (June 12, 2010)
The third, now annual , Football tournament was held today and brought us some nail bitting games.
41 goals scored in total throughout the tournament and it also produce the hightest Cub win in the past three years.
Conwy gave us an 8 - 0 win over Junction (b) and showed at an early date in the competition they were capable of winning.
We then had a nail bitting penalty shoot out in the second semi final which saw Junction(a) beat Glan Conwy 3-2 , after the match finished 1 -1 .
This then gave us the Final Of Conwy v Junction (A) , which Conwy triumphed 2 - 0
Well done to them and comiserations to Junction(a) who did us proud.
Teams from Llandudno Junction , Conwy, Glan Conwy and Colwyn Bay entered and had an enjoyable day,
We experimented with a 7 a side Cub Comp this year and all in all felt that the format went well.
Well done s go out to all the Cub Scouts who took part. Also thanks to all Groups who entered and everyone who gave us the support (special thanks to the Ref`s).
