We will be doing a debrief on Friday evening with regard to the Rowen Hike, to give everyone who attended the opportunity to comment on the event. However, I will be looking for constructive comments. Comments regarding the length of the walk, or the terain will not be discussed, as you knew this before you decided to take part. Also comments arising from participants not having the correct gear will not be discussed, as you were told what to bring, and were offered the opportunity to borrow items. Anything else you would like to comment on, we can discuss then.

However, I am very disappointed in the 'Scout' who has commented below. Firstly, I was not aware that there was anyone who did not enjoy the walk, I would have hoped if you didn't enjoy it you would have told me by now, and secondly, the tone of your comments is rude and disrespective to the Leaders who gave up their weekend to run the event. I do know who you are and I look forward to hearing your comments on Friday, as I am sure do the Leaders you have been so rude to below!!

Well 'Rikki' (??????), I did post my thoughts on the hike before 'SK' removed them. I wanted to make a comment on the hike, about what I REALLY thought of it. But no-one got a chance to read it, and so there can be no improvements on the other activities because no-one wants to face the truth about the hike. And yes, I did come on the hike. Oh yeah and since this is MEANT to be a blog about the hike to Rowen can I just offer my congratulations to the scouts (and Joseph!) who completed it! You all did fantastically well on your first (and hopefully not last!) solo hike!! Although I do think next time you should carry all your own kit! If I had to do it I don't see why you lot can't!!! :)

I think it's a shame that one of our scouts feels unable to putvtheir name to their comments on here - Shere Khan (SK) puts in a lot of work to keep this website running and it is a good way of people getting their views and ideas across - the leaders all give up a lot of their spare time to run cubs/scouts and to think that it's not appriciated hurts!

You don't think that I would put my name down on this website do you? And who is 'SK'? Don't have a clue!
Oh and I wont be coming swimming. Can't be bothered.So a cub can take my place. Oh and didn't you get my E-Mail to you? it make a good point (or two). You only need to send the message once. Like everyone else does.

I was waiting for you lot to put your comments on here, but it looks like you're not going to. So here is my comment. I thought you all did a very good job at the weekend. You worked as a team, and completed the route without getting lost. You didn't complain about having to put up your own tents or cook your own food. For a first attempt you did very well. You all achieved your Expedition Challenge Award and have done 1/3 of your hikers badge. WELL DONE!!!
