1st Llandudno Junction (L.M.S.) 1921
“Junction” grew around the Railway Station, sidings, sheds and the line spurs to Llandudno, Blaenau Ffestiniog and the Conwy Valley. Records show that at least 4 different groups have existed in Llandudno Junction over the past 80 years, the first being another company initiative the 1st Llandudno Junction L.M.S. (London Midlands and Scottish Railways )

It is believed the group was registered on the 8th March 1943. Reg.No. 20889 and from the beginning the group had a reputation for smartness, good scouting standards and staunch support for scouting in the district. This was well matched by the Guide Company and Brownie Pack that existed along side the Scout Group. For one period during the 1970’s and 80’s, the group provided a District Commissioner, an Assistant District Commissioner (Cubs) District Chaplin, Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer and for a few years, all at the same period of time. The church was very supportive of all youth work within the congregation. With the decline in church attendance, support for scouting suffered the lack of new and replacement leaders and the group went into serious decline. In 2006, there was only the Cub Scouts left and only 6 or 7 boys. However, just in time, a new leader came along and at the time of this report, 2007, she has been joined by an assistant and the membership has increased to just under 20 together with a small core of would-be scouts if a leader can be found.
September 2007 a Scout leader was found and 3rdLlandduno Junction Scouts reformed with nine Scouts.Ou new leader was Kirsty and she was helped by the Cub team leaders at the time Dave, Mags, Mandy, and Jo
This has enabled Akela to grow her Cubs into Scouts and this been very very successful , with nearly all cubs now moving onto Scouts and being invested as a Scout.
